Hi, I’m Marcello

I’m a Research Scientist at Reality LabsMeta in Toronto, Canada. My work focuses on designing new experiences and interactions in AR/VR, leveraging AI, and multi-modal input and output streams. Check out this great article to see what we are working on!

Previously, I was a Research Scientist at Chatham Labs, a Human-Computer Interaction Researcher at Huawei Canada, and a Haptics Engineer at Ultraleap.

I hold a Ph.D. in Music Technology from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where I worked on designing haptic-augmented devices to assist musicians.

My skills span from human-computer interaction research, to user-centered design, user studies, machine learning, and rapid prototyping. I’m an experienced programmer, and throughout my career I’ve worked on projects involving haptics, motion capture, gestural analysis, eye tracking, and AR/VR.
