Hi, I’m Marcello
I’m a Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Haptics researcher. I work on designing new user experiences focusing on emerging technologies, multi-modal input and output streams, and interaction models. Take a look at the Projects page for a selection of things I’ve worked on.
I’m currently a Research Scientist at Apple, in the Human Interface Devices team. Previously, I was at Meta Reality Labs Research, Huawei Canada, and Ultraleap.
I hold a Ph.D. in Music Technology from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where I worked on designing haptic-augmented devices to assist musicians.
My skills span from human-computer interaction research, to user-centered design, user studies, machine learning, and rapid prototyping. I’m an experienced programmer, and throughout my career I’ve worked on projects involving haptics, motion capture, gestural analysis, eye tracking, and AR/VR.
